Silent Kill

Well, just another bit of fanart flavour stuff in lieu of things I don't want to show just yet. This time Silent Hill 3 flavoured!!

I played SH2 as a teenager but got too scared to get past the apartment block section... In the course of making these games I've tried to catch up on some of the classics of the horror game genre but always feel nervous about the PS2 Silent Hill titles in particular. That sound design...

I guess in a way it's maybe for the best as it's hard to make horror games without pulling from a lot of things that series made its own. Doing this doodle sort of made me think about how I've tried to avoid doing too much with bloodstains, Otherworld-y flesh and wire prisons, fog, or related pieces of the famous iconography (nurses aside). That said at least part of the new game is partially inspired by a certain area in Silent Hill 4 so maybe it'd be fun to try eventually.

Otherwise I work away..... Whoosh!!

Both the game and the TV show of The Last of Us have been praised for their depiction of Bill. In 2013, GLAAD described the game's Bill as being "as deeply flawed but wholly unique a gay character found in any storytelling medium this year."
