Silly Star Wars Spotlight: The Software Toolworks Star Wars Chess

Back in 1993, Software Toolworks released a Star Wars chess game! Don't let the epic cover art fool you, some parts of it ended up being deeply silly.

For example, you might be wondering, "How can C-3PO defeat Boba Fett?" Well, he takes Fett's blaster and lectures the bounty hunter about how dangerous they can be.

Threepio isn't the only droid stealing people's weapons though, as R2-D2 steals Vader's lightsaber and strikes him down with it.

Some of the animations are less goofy (as you'd expect, Han and Leia are more apt to just blast someone) but the droids really bring an important silliness to the game.

So many of my favorite co-op shooter memories happened playing Halo games back in the day.

#Joltober Day 27โ€™s theme is #Clown so I drew Kirby as a clown!

For #Joltober Day 28, I drew a #Scarecrow from The Legend of Zelda!

There's one day left in our celebration of #StarWars! Don't miss your chance to get the Star Wars sticker pack. ๐Ÿ‘€

It all ends on May 11th at 12 pm UTC.

One of my favorite multiplayer games is Baldur's Gate 3!

It's the closest I've seen a video game come to replicating the tabletop D&D experience. #GJAsks

I'm not sure if it's the single funniest, but an indie comedy game that I had fun with was Space Court! #GJAsks

The final #Joltober prompt for 2024 is #JackOLantern so I drew Gourgeist!

Hereโ€™s my Cal Kestis from Jedi Survivor! I've had a lot of fun with the game so far. It builds on Fallen Order in some really fun ways.

I'd name them Rupert the Ruffian.

I don't know why, they just feel like a Rupert.
