Silly Star Wars Spotlight: The Software Toolworks Star Wars Chess

Back in 1993, Software Toolworks released a Star Wars chess game! Don't let the epic cover art fool you, some parts of it ended up being deeply silly.

For example, you might be wondering, "How can C-3PO defeat Boba Fett?" Well, he takes Fett's blaster and lectures the bounty hunter about how dangerous they can be.

Threepio isn't the only droid stealing people's weapons though, as R2-D2 steals Vader's lightsaber and strikes him down with it.

Some of the animations are less goofy (as you'd expect, Han and Leia are more apt to just blast someone) but the droids really bring an important silliness to the game.

I added Critter Cove to my wishlist for when the full version is out! (It's currently in early access.) #CCWishlist

I'm in the middle of a Baldur's Gate 3 replay so two characters that come to mind for #PrideJolt are Isobel and Dame Aylin

Phew! It was tough but I beat my #LTCOKills record with 4,899 kills!

I used the Electric Grenades, Photon Saber, Rocket Barrage, Repulse, and Volt Discharge.

Kirby once again says Happy Pride! #PrideArt

Here’s my Cal Kestis from Jedi Survivor! I've had a lot of fun with the game so far. It builds on Fallen Order in some really fun ways.

Wahoo! I mastered all of the stickers in the free Pride pack!

The #CritterCoveTrailer looks really cute! I've also played around with the demo which was really fun. (I was as a robot with a TV for a head.)

Normally ā€œultra glossā€ would not allow a top coat, not even itself. I was able to apply ā€œultra matteā€ ā€œSand Dollarā€ white over the red without blister. It has a great texture. My ā€œfrog tapeā€ and artist tape let me down and took away some gloss on the red.

Tricky to pick one design as my favorite in ALL of gaming, but one of my favorites is definitely the design of Darth Nihilus.

Fun fact: His design was inspired by No-Face from Spirited Away. #GJAsks
