SIXTEENTH DEVLOG ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT

Alright, April (and early May, sorry for being late yet again!) has been way more productive than last month!

-WHAT'S NEW?-

  • The original secondary task for Night 3 has been completely reworked, as the former task had the same issue as the original one from Night 2; way too much unorganized and difficult code, all for a quick task with zero sense of danger. Like the reworked task for Night 2, the one for the third night is now longer (not in a frustrating way), more fun to play and required way less code.

  • Remade The Figure's behavior in the primary gameplay. Originally, The Figure appeared in one of the two office corridors (left and right) and you would need to aim your flashlight at its face three times, changing position every time you aimed the flashlight correctly. Now, it has been improved (although I will not spoil the new mechanic)!

  • I have also upgraded the monitor UI. The original UI looked way too futuristic and modern which kind of ruins the immersion as the game takes place in 2008. Therefore, I gave it a more old-school look, mainly inspired by the UI from Windows XP. As a result, I have added completely new screenshots of the monitor's revamped style!

  • I changed Assid's and Virf's walking animations when they walk past you while hiding under the desk as the original animations were way too "human-like" and smooth. Now, they look more robotic.

  • Added some more sound effects and fixed some bugs in the animatronics' AI, where they would sometimes not enter the office despite the fact that there is no other animatronic there (I have made a system where two animatronics can not enter the office simultaneously, as that would otherwise be too RNG, so the office becomes "occupied" when one animatronic is there).

Thanks for following the development!
