Sleepless Devlog 04/30/2025

Hey there!! SrBenx4 here. I’m not used to making this type of Devlog, so I guess this could be considered the first one? (Not counting the previous posts, of course)

In this post, I’ll be showing the progress of the fangame along with comparisons to the previous release, Sleepless Nights: Custom Night.
Here’s what will be shown:

1.- New Office

This new office features noticeable changes in its walls and lighting. What used to be a regular interview office has now turned into a rather neglected and dark space, giving off a much more unsettling and tense atmosphere.

The coffee machine model has also been updated — the previous one looked somewhat blocky and flat, almost placeholder-like. The new version, however, shows more detail and fits better with the eerie environment that the game aims to portray

2.- Camera Interface

As shown in the video, the camera interface has been slightly simplified and made more practical. Previously, each function had its name displayed above it, but now these have been replaced with icons that represent their purpose. This makes the interface more visually appealing and helps reduce clutter compared to the older design.
A similar change was made to the flashlight symbol — it went from being a semi-transparent flashlight icon to a simple box placed in a corner, making it more discreet and less intrusive.
Additionally, the facility map has had its rotation adjusted to better align with the new resolution of the fangame, allowing for clearer visibility and a smoother navigation experience across the camera system.

3.- Camera Movement Speed

Another recent change is the speed at which the camera follows the cursor. The previous speed felt a bit too fast for a camera view system, making it slightly uncomfortable to look around while monitoring.

This has now been adjusted — with the reduced movement speed, navigating between camera angles feels more controlled and better suited for the slower, more suspenseful pacing of the gameplay

And there’s still more to show!
Here are some of the upcoming features that will be revealed soon:

  1. The new Sleepiness Bar

  2. The ventilation ducts

  3. The O.M. System

  4. The animatronic AI

  5. Story elements
    ...and much more!!

Stay tuned for future updates!

Hey!!! How's everyone doing!? I've received several bug reports from the Sleepless Nights demo, so… yeah, I'm currently working on fixing those errors. Honestly it's a bit complex, but nothing that can't be solved

Fred Facts #4: Endoskeleton

Ok, everything should be fine with this version of the demo now. Most of the bugs have been fixed. If you happen to find any more, please let me know.

And yeah, now you can actually play the Custom Night without it magically disappearing

New Posters!

Don’t lose hope!! A few things are being polished so the demo can release without errors!!

A pretty weird way to promote the fangame
