Snack Jack? + Devlog 5/10/25

So, here i am writing a devlog about a game you probably never heard about... Snack Jack, a weird game that mixes biscuits, gambling and platforming. This twist is: you're gambling whether you can beat a level of your choice! It was originally made as a game for Brackey's 2025.2 jam, and we received amazing feedback/placement our best being 26th on innovation! So, we decided to continue this journey. Currently all the pics on the page is from the jam version, but we will update them as we progress.

What have we worked on so far:

  • The physics as significantly made easier (after a lot of angry comments about how horrible the original physics were)

  • The ui now has a cleaner style (with many visual bugs)

  • We are working on creating new card designs (in progress)

  • The game also now works on mobile

  • Shader that is able to color pallet swap, the face sprites

  • The start on a story map functionality (not looks)

How you can help:

  • Please give feedback on absolutely anything we send here. Anything would be appreciated

  • Give the original game a try (Snack Jack by Overitbynow, Redzquirrel4), and give feedback on that too (no mentions on the physics though, i'm working on it)

Thank you from all the developers!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
