And so as a result are getting stressed out that Sonic 4 isn’t going to do well at the box office. to give my two cents on it real quick, here’s what I’ll say.

The same thing happened a bit ago with Sonic 3 and Mufasa. Where people pitted the movies against eachother for…releasing the same day.

And tbh, it’s all really unnecessary for more than one reason.

One thing is that each of these movies target different niches, a lot of people if they are interested in both will probably watch both (or all in this case) to begin with, and even if they target the same niche, still, if both (or again all) are good, both (or all) will do well in their own right.

Second, not everything has to be a competition and about who can do better, It’s kind of like the Mario Vs. Sonic debate (the game franchises btw, not the characters). Both should shrive to do their best, but both also shouldn’t be trying to crush eachother under the others’ heels. 

You can like both, there’s nothing wrong with that, you don’t need to feel obligated to pick one over the other and don’t let anyone tell you that you have to choose in that regard. Given how divided people get over many things as is (will not specify what I’m thinking), it’s really not necessary to add more things to the pile like making things competitions that don’t really need to be to begin with. And I recall when a certain other two movies released a year or two ago (if you know you know), people instead made memes bringing them together, not pitting them against each other.

There’s more I can say about this, but I guess basically what am trying to say is this. Not everything is a competition, not everything has to be. And when you make everything a competition, you just stress yourself out way more than maybe you really need to over something that at the end of the day is really not that serious.
