Hey everyone! SOLUNE is still in the works and has been going great!
As I said in the first devlog, SOLUNE will be in three chapters. Here is the current progress on each:
CHAPTER OVERVIEW
Chapter 1:
Chapter one will be the start of Elysia's journey. Set the themes, the stakes, and start a whole lot of mysteries.
Music: Likely 100%. Tracks 1-10 are the chapter 1 tracks. There may be some more added if needed.
Story: 100%. Chapter one hits hard right at the start! I do not have a doc with the story of chapter one, as I want the first time you play the game, the first time you get the story. This is how the story will be from now on.
Sprites: ~30%. At the moment, this is the main weakness in this game. Chapter 1 has 2 areas and 2 subareas in each. I have sprites for 1 area and 1 of its subareas. These sprites are not the highest quality since I haven't had much experience with art. So, there are a lot of placeholders.
NPCs: 10%. Some placeholder NPCs with dialog. The engine I'm using has Sans fully programmed in, so he is the placeholder. It’s actually quite funny seeing Sans fill in for serious characters and kids.
Dialogue: Also 10%. Not much here! I do have an entire game-length, quite tragic storyline made.
Cutscenes: 1%. I've sorta figured out how to do these. So I'll count 1% for that.
Coding: 30%. I have chapter 1, part 1 mostly programmed, besides the cutscenes and the NPC interactions.
Battles: 1%. I'm still figuring this part out!
Chapter 2:
Chapter 2 doesn't have much progress yet, but is in the works! This chapter will focus on Elysia's journey through the underground, as she heals monsters and brings hope again.
Chapter 3:
Chapter 3 will focus more on the surface. This is the most unsure for us right now.

Despite this long list, this soundtrack is not near complete! I expect the soundtrack to nearly triple in length.

REGARDING PIANO VERSIONS
So, there are many piano version of songs. They are marked with (Piano). I have decided not to add piano versions for the song that do not have one. However, I may or not make piano versions for new songs before making the full version.
MAIN THEME
It's finally time to reveal the song I've been working on for over 6 months now, the main theme! The preview (first part of the song) will come right after this post. This is, without a doubt, the best song I've ever made. So please give it a listen!
DEMO
The demo is coming soon! As I said in the last short devlog, you can expect it before the end of the year, but most likely much sooner! It will cover most of, if not all of chapter 1.
CONCLUSION
Overall, SOLUNE is a dream come true. It's our creativity expressed through a game. I will continue to work on this project as much as possible. I am so excited for the demo! And I hope you are too. As always, feedback is appreciated, especially on the music and overall tone. I can’t wait to share more soon. Anyways, see you next time!
