The whole species (cosmerettes) are based on celestial stars, having an aligned life cycle.
Small note: Hyperion and Calypso are from this universe!! They are cosmerettes of the Gemini origin.
These are the equivalents to neutron stars and black holes: called namesake or neutronic cosmerettes (top creature) and oblivions (bottom creature). They come after mesmerettes (equivalent to supergiant stars) dying in a supernova depending on their core mass.
