Some fixes, almost 500K Downloads and a new game


Some overdue maintainence fixes to TubeStar:

  • Getting real video comments were broken, so updated comments to use YouTube v3 API

  • Watching real video caused JavaScript issue, so changed HTML to work better

Some stats on downloads:
205.9k on GameJolt
218.8k on CodePlex
54.2k on IndieDB
4.9k on Itch.io
= 483.8k total

This is not counting the downloads on sites that took it upon themselves to simply host without asking. Not sure how much that makes the total tally, but ~500k is way higher than I ever thought this side-line project would get.

Fresh lick of paint The 1.5.0.0 update brings a whole UI overhaul in the downloadable version. Hopefully it’s a lot slicker, so give it a try. Also, I’ve added the “Community” menu for Let’s Players to share their videos of TubeStar.

TubeStar - German & Performance TubeStar now has a German translation thanks to ‘iKlikla’. Also, the game has been performance tweaked to run a lot better in the later stages…
