Greetings everyone!
We apologize for the long silence. Let me explain what’s currently going on with our team and game, Heaven’s Point.
First off, we want to thank every single one of you who has followed our game and played our demo here on GameJolt! It’s a very heartwarming feeling to know that so many people show an interest in something that we have created. Thank you!
Now on to the update:
We have in the last couple of months been trying very hard to obtain funding for Heaven’s Point. We have been talking to a ton of publishers and investors in order to secure funding for our project without much success.
Most of the partnership offers we have got have been underwhelming and nothing that we wanted to accept.
As you may understand, this project is quite large for a three-man team and we are in need of funds in order to be able to complete it. We might also need to expand the team with 1-2 more skilled pixel artists and this kind of talent doesn’t come for free.
Up until now, we have been working on Heaven’s Point on our spare time for free and we truly love working on this game.
However, we have realized that we won’t be able to complete this project with our current situation; working full-time jobs and working on this during evenings/weekends. While it is fun to work on a project like this, it is also very stressful and toilsome in the long run.
So unfortunately for now, we have to put Heaven’s Point on hold until we find a way to secure funds for it (we are NOT cancelling the game).
We have been looking into a possible fundraiser campaign for Heaven’s Point, but we know that it is very hard to achieve your funding-goals on websites such as Kickstarter and IndieGoGo so we might have to find another way.
We would love to hear your thoughts about this, so please leave a comment below! Do you have any tips or ideas for us?
Best regards,
Andy from the Digital Punch team
