Sorta important poll: When to expect a new friend

(And an update on things to come)

Alright, let's get the poll bit out of the way quick:

When should the new Challenger battles occur?

Option 1: Only after battles against common enemy types

Option 2: After common battles and bosses (not counting final bosses)

Option 3: After common battles, bosses and minibosses

(not counting FNAP minibosses or battles that already reward challengers)

---

Anyways, the current build now has the new challenger encounters working. I'll still need to give it a thorough playtest to ensure it works as intended and is fairly balanced.

Also working on reworking the NPC sidequest dialogue, making XOR much easier to encounter, as well as checking for any other fixes I've not yet implemented. If all goes well, then the real final build of Classic Edition will be done.

Might also follow that up later with the last two parts of the walkthrough. Guess we'll see how things go.

That's about it for now. 'Till next time!

Next up

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

That time of year again.

It's been a long time coming...

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

How about we change things up?

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.

I might be having too much fun with this process...

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.
