I don’t know how many days have passed. The desert stretched in every direction like a cursed abyss— endless, merciless, hopeless. And yet, I survived.
It wasn’t easy. The sand burned my skin, and every night brought a cold that cut through to the bone. Water? Barely enough. Food? Not even worth mentioning. If I hadn’t hidden… if I hadn’t heard their engines… Maybe they wouldn’t have noticed me. Maybe. But the risk was too great.
I only have a few rings left. Each one is a chance. One jump. One world. I hoped I wouldn’t have to use one so soon, but there was no other choice.
And now I’m here. Green instead of sand. Humidity instead of dry air. Life instead of emptiness. But am I safe? I don’t know yet. The Union is hunting me. And they won’t stop until they have me.
I need to hide. Rest. Plan my next move.
Nexus won’t stay down forever.
I won’t let it.
