The Harbinger; that Valentine's Day abomination.

Heyo. I've been lurking on here for quite a while now, but with the HB and Lamboo posts comin' I might as well speak out. Believe it or not, my best friend was a victim to one of them... kind of.
It pains me to retell, but here goes: His name was Nathan. Great and funny guy—met him at school back in 1992. Always cheered us up and had that bright smile I still remember, especially during hard times.
One day, he was just... gone. He wasn't responding to our messages, we visited his house... nothing. It was empty, and always locked. We debated just breaking into the house, but everybody suddenly thought that would be a really bad idea.
So, like any reasonable person would do; we contacted his parents to come open up the house, since they had spare keys. His mother was the only one who pulled up, looking at us with a very worried look over what I told her on the phone. Could Nathan be dead?
She opened the front door, letting us and her in. There was nothing out of the unusual, no messes, no strange smells... It was just his house, but without soul.
Basement, living room, kitchen, backyard. Nothing. We went up a floor to his bedroom and... we were met with nothing. The strange thing being, that there was a strange red heart symbol on the table where he used his computer. It was even on the chair. Nobody knows what the hell this meant, shrugging it off as "a loose sticker". Unfortunately, we did not find Nathan there... until a few days later, we found his body floating on a lake. Gruesome sight, heart hanging out... Everybody, understandably, looked in pure terror or fell onto their knees.
Nathan. Was dead. But who did it? Everyone started pointing fingers at each other, starting from a bully from the same school we once went to that looked like a serial killer in the making. Nope. Same bully left the city in 1993.
But then, the heart symbols... We heard of this Harbinger urban legend a lot; preys on lonely men on Valentine's Day, and then kills them. Or that's how it goes. The story matched up. The heart symbol after the victim was caught, the victim being lonely...
This is where I'll finish this story, as the details are quickly fading away from the memory. Stay safe.

While your story sounds interesting, this... just sounds like a bad creepypasta. I mean, come on... really? A creature that preys upon lonely men on Valentine's Day? Like the whispers of "The Tape That Cries", now that just ain't true. I can't wait to see some dude in his mom's basement to make a game out of this where you collect eight pages.

To add to this, there was this same creature of the type. Anthropomorphic animal, and pretty twisted. Several massacres by the US and Soviets during the war apparently created it, with it haunting the ones who killed the innocents. It changes forms everyday, but swear it's a moth by now.
