Hey there, I wanted to put together a much more presentable update post, but considering my schedule is getting busy, this will have to do.
Progress over the Summer
So as I mentioned during June, I would give some feedback about the summer months for the game, and it's safe to say that not much was able to be done.
Aside from some team members having vacations, summer plans, etc. During the summer I had to deal with some personal issues. I encountered a significant family emergency around the end of July that practically killed a lot of motivation I had at that time. Summer was a lot rougher than I had expected, and therefore it resulted in not much for the project during that time. However, some plans have been put into place for the upcoming months
Future Plans
I and my co-director took some time to discuss the plan to do one last recode of the stuff we currently have to ensure that it's as clean and optimized as it can be. There have also been some gameplay changes we had discussed due to concerns with how it would flow in-game if we left it the way it was originally planned, and it's safe to say the new plan will not only work better but will actually allow for us to do a lot more with this mechanic than we could have originally. Of course, I can't really discuss it since that's one of those mechanics that I would rather save for the game's release, but ideas for the main night segments are starting to come full circle.
That's all I had to discuss with this. Again, I didn't really have much progress to share, however, it was important that you guys were aware of the delays, and that the project is planned to pick up pace again soon.
