Taking a break from Grant Mod V2. I know I usually don't do full articles on announcements for this game but please take the time to read as this is very important.


I've come to realize that this is way too big of a project for a beginner developer like me to take on. This isn't a full-on cancellation but this game will no longer be my primary focus. I haven't been able to get a meaningful amount of work on the game because the sheer scope of it is overwhelming.

I'll still occasionally work on Grant Mod V2, but my main focus will be placed on creating smaller games in order to build up the skills and focus necessary to make a game like Grant Mod V2.

The willingness to create this game was always present but the ability just isn't there. One day I'll come back to this game with much greater skills to I can give it the quality it deserves.

As for Build 4, I'll have to put it on hold due to, again, not being able to work on this game.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

However, the first of these "smaller games" is already being made, and I'll be releasing it right here on Gamejolt, so follow my account (if you only follow Grant Mod V2 you won't be notified). Stay tuned!

These are the new party members for Grant Mod V2: Remdar's Conquest. You can tell that I'm very extremely serious and not joking at all because April Fools' was 3 days ago and therefore it is illegal for me to be kidding about something.

WEEKLY UPDATE 7

The CEO battle and stat reworks are going great so far, I'm also considering doing a major rewrite of Chapter 1, but I'll probably save that for a Build 5 since Build 4 has already taken pretty long.

Just realized while looking at my earlier post that the first letters of the main party's names spell out RAD so I'll probably call them "Team RAD" lol.

Also just for context I decided to rename Fire Thug to Doug.
