Hey everyone. So today we'll be talking about the gun mechanic in Five Nights at Paite's.

You may have noticed in the trailer, but yes, you do get a gun in this game, and you can shoot the characters. In fact, it is a game mechanic vital to survival!

One of the characters requires you to use the gun in order to properly stop them, otherwise they'll damage your door, which would lead to you not being able to close it anymore.

Another character will require you to shoot smaller targets to prevent a hole being made in your office for them to get into.

In order to make life harder for you, we've designed a character who's entire purpose is to steal your gun, losing the gun can be vital because it essentially means that you've lost a counter to two whole characters, making it harder to survive against them.

If the character ends up stealing your gun, you'll have to find them on the camera and click on them to retrieve your gun.

Oh and one more thing, your gun has limited ammo, and you'll find that you start with less and less with each coming night... Fortunately, shooting a character correctly will result in keeping your ammo, just be sure not to miss anything.
