TBi: Android

Ladies and gentlemen!
We have made the alpha of ‘TBi: Android’ public!

Why did we do this thing? Well, not a lot of progress has made, truth be told. We are trying to build on what we have but it is a process we are approaching with much care. We don’t really understand why people like the original TBi at all. The game was simple and silly, but now we want to build on it.
The current version of ‘TBi: Android’ is more of a companion app to the original in its current state. You can add to the global budget on the go! In terms of features, new or old, it is quite thin on the ground.
It’s easy for us to forget, here at Akkail Games, that we are playing a newer version of the game. The version we have is full of never before seen features that you could even call ‘gameplay’, but we keep forgetting that those features aren’t available to you yet.

If you do download and play the early Android build, please note the effort put into redesigning the game’s look! The old style just didn’t fit on the smaller screen. Future versions of the PC version will be updated to this style too.
You may also encounter a crash while playing the game. This is a noted error and is related to an error with the outdated servers- the same issue is present on PC also, although far less regular.
The old version of the game will eventually become completely obsolete due to the introduction of new features and a new server to accommodate them.

We are considering, instead of a new server, to migrate the game to GameJolt- of course, using the GameJolt API. Thoughts on the idea would be most welcome.

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

It's now possible to destroy some of the obstacles and gain access to new locations or create shortcuts. #gamedev #indiegame #rpg
