tf2 vs dark deception episode 8

barely buried + final verdict


alright so we're on the last current level, not only will we be seeing who is most likely to make it out but we will also see who has the highest chances of surving the whole game (minus the boss fights)

now that I think about it I actually think all of the TF2 merc could survive this one.

10. demoknight: demoknight's biggest weakness is maving to fend off multiple targets, he could potentially heal himself with the half zatoichi, but the trigger teddies explode on contact so he'd likley lose more health than he'd gain

9. engineer: while a mini sentry could deal with hoards of trigger teddies, it wouldn't be eenough to take on mama, likewaise engineer would mostly likley not have time to build a normal sentry in time beofre mama got to him

8. soldier: he's prone to getting rushed down and the explosion from the teddy combined with the explosion from his own rockets could put him down

7. medic: he's fast but can be cornered by TTs

6. demoman: he'd either need to be hella accurate with his pipes or fall back onto sticky spam

5. pyro: he's most effective at close range so he'd be playing on a thin wire, plus let's be honest he'd probably think the trigger teddies are toys and try and play with them

4. scout: he has the same issues as medic but he's faster

3. spy: yeah he's not at the top this time around but theres a good reason. his invisibility is not permanant and if he gets cuaght he's as good as dead. mama knows her babies well so duisguses likely wouldn't work. Spy could potentially backstab mama but getting in that position would be very hard to begin with and as long as mama is alive the number of trigger teddies are only going to increase.

hence why my two top picks can both deal with several trigger teddies as well as mama herself

2. sniper: with one clean headshot he can take out mama and use the SMG to clean up any remaining teddies, provided his aim is on point (my guy finally gets a win after being dunked on this whole time)

  1. heavy: there is not better class at the game for mowing down a crowd of weak enemies, theres a reason why heavy is tp tier in MVM. he could easily rip through all of the teddies and mow down mama with ease

    now onto the final tallies. how I calculated the tallies was I took each character's placement on the lists and gave them points based on how high they were, at 10th place you get one point in first you get 10. here were the results

    10th place: of course this goes to the character that I have been bullying this entire time........soldier. with a pultry score of 28 out of a potential 90 soldier get's thrashed around every level in the game with his best performance coming from the outdoor section from mascot meyhem, he's slow, he's dumb, most areas are enclosed so rocket jumping is invalid, and his weapon actively hurts himself

    9th place goes to sniper, he might seem like the series punching bag but he actually made it far in a few levels, namely barely buried, what helps him over soldier is his assortment of tools, slightly above average inteligence, and not relying on a weapon that hurts himself. with a score of 32 out of 90 and his best performance being in barely buried

    8th and 7th places goes to are a tie between heavy and medic (how fitting that they are together) one is too focused on fight while the other is too focused on flight, the lack of balance between the two shows in their 44 out of 90 score. medic's best outing was in deadly decadence and heavy's was in barely buried

    6th place goes to engineer with a score barely above medic and heavy with 45. the problem with engie is that he requires prep time to be at his most effieicent which most of the monsters don't grant. his best showing was in the stranger sewers level where the dread duckies gave him ample time to prepare

    5th place goes to demoknight with 48 out of 90 points. his speed, melee combat and unique weapons made him a formidible foe but alas, his greatest strengths ended up as his biggest downfall, hard to melee multiple enemies to death isn't it. his best outing was in the crazy carnevil level where he could mow through several enemeis that could be easily one shot

    in 4th place we have demoman with 54 out of 90 points. being one of the best all around classes in the game has it's perks, combine that with deadly explosives and a bit of drunk luck and demo has a good chance of making it out alive. his best outing was in the mascot mehem outdoor section

    in 3rd place we have pyro with 56 out of 90. pyro was a very polarizing character, soemtimes he'd do poorly and sometimes there was just this one quirk about him that made him the best choice, sometimes he was the best and sometimes the worst. his best outing was in the elementary evil section

    in 2nd place with 65 out of 90 points we have...SPY!? yeah you'd think he'd be number one considering how often he topped the charts, making first place in monkey business and both parts of mascot mehem, however hsi greatest loss came an crazy carnevil when his tricks weren't as effective on the clown gremlins.

    and in first place with 71 out of 90 points we have scout, scout may not have been number one in any level but made second place almost every time, never getting out of the top 5. it makes sense why he'd be number one considering he's baisically playing the game with the speed power up permanently, just goes to show that sometimes speed really is key.

    however these were based on being able to work around enemies so now we're going to flip the script and do the bossfights, instead of running like bitches they're going to be fighting like men, all I can say is...god help medic cuz he's gonna get violated so many times
