Hello.
It's been a while, hasn't it?
These past few months have been quite busy for me, therefore I couldn't make a proper announcement until now.
I want to start this post by saying that I've always enjoyed working on projects with friends. There's nothing better than contributing to a certain goal with the people you enjoy talking to. That is, in fact, the sole reason "ThirtyTwo Games" even existed in the first place.
Now, I'll be honest, Goodbye Neighbor was just an excuse for me to hop on the Hello Neighbor fangames trend, and it always stayed that way.
As much as I would have loved making a fully-fledged story campaign purely based on the old HN, this concept was just way too ambitious for me and the team. After all, we had barely even gotten into game development at the time.
In conclusion, I have been pretty much dragging this project with me for almost three years straight, waiting for any motivation to hopefully pop up in my head and let me continue the game without leaving it to rot.
Unfortunately, I can now safely assume that Goodbye Neighbor was always destinated to never see the light of the day, and now, it has to come to an end. Same with all of the other internal projects we have been prototyping throughout our stay here on GameJolt.
But that doesn't mean that I and the others are done with game development.
Since Hello Neighbor 2 was announced, I've been hooked on the new content Eerie Guest has been cooking up. This inspired me to work on a new — and a lot less ambitious — project based on the second episode of the original Hello Guest storyline; this time, it's just a small passion project which I will work on from time to time, but I still intend to release someday. I'm working on this project independently, although I am still getting a lot of input from friends. If you're interested, you can also follow my main @Sospect .
I wanted to genuinely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for following us on our journey.
Goodbye neighbors, and as always,
have a great day.
