When I was first introduced to FNAF back in 2015, it traumatized me, and to this day has kind of left a mental scar. For the first few years of knowing the game, I couldn't even look at pictures from the game because of the fear of not being able to sleep at night.

One day I somehow gathered the courage to download the game and play it. I slowly got more and more into fnaf as time went on and became one of my favorite games. It is very important to my YouTube channel, as it was the first game I ever played on it, and it's still a game I play to this day.

A couple of days ago, when I heard Scott was getting canceled on Twitter for having conservative views and being Christian, I had no doubt in my mind that they weren't going to take him down because of how popular he was and had a loyal community to back him up. Unfortunately yesterday I learned that no conservative Christian is immune to cancel culture.

I heard that Scott was retiring and immediately thought it was a troll, a lie. but then I heard it again. then again. so I looked it up and it was true. He got sent death threats, people were threatening to dox him and were being completely rude to him. It also turns out that the people sending these threats were people from his community that didn't agree with his political views.

Imagine that. Being so immature as to all of a sudden hate a man you loved for years just because you find out that his political views don't match yours. The saddest part of this is if his views were the opposite, then there would be no problem with that to the people that are sending him threats.

Nevertheless, I completely understand the other reasons for Scott's retirement and I wish him the best of luck for the next many years.

I hope someday the people that can't handle opposing opinions will grow up and learn that political views don't define a person, but rather their values.
