The Future

So what do I plan to do, (I am Evan). Well I lost my writer Vlad, he has other bigger issues to deal with including school. So I plan on taking over the story and suiting it to my game.

This means that you will have a team that has fleshed out characters and enemy teams that will be introduced the first time you battle them. Maybe rivalries can be formed, or maybe alliances in multi team battles, all offline with bots.

Since this game uses bots, my most pressing concern right now is fixing the AI from the boring walking machines they are now. I have other minimal experience with this, but I plan to do AI right this time, so any more experiences people’s tips are helpful.

Right now the game mode is supposed to be capture the flag, but later I plan on adding more interesting game modes, ideas are welcome.

Maps, currently I have a dust_2 like map, but I plan on making a blocky woodsy sort of map that allows outdoor competitive play, without the clutter of brush in the way of the player’s view.

Any modeler who want to add their own maps are welcome, and credit would be given, but these maps would not be included in any future commercial ventures.

So I plan on this game having the basic outline of the campaign, and say, 3 good maps, two or so game does, and maybe 3 or so useable weapons.

Oh and tell me if you find something that ruins your fun.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM
