Hey, folks!
I have two pieces of news today: good news and bad news.
On the good side, I finally finished working on the Arcade Mode demo! Hooray!
The bad news is, it's not enough.
I could go ahead and release a demo version of the game even right now! But let's be honest, Arcade Mode is unlikely to draw any attention to the game or interest players at all. I've been releasing Arcade Modes like this for five years now and players are probably tired of it.
Yeah, in Project Eclipse, Arcade Mode is the apogee of all the nonsense I've done in the last 5 years. And this mode is truly the best of all the others. But that doesn't negate the obvious.
And I have the illusion of choice in front of me.
Release the game now and most likely bury it or continue working and make at least one more mode, even if it's a demo.
I'm going to choose the second option and start working on the Story Mode prologue.
This will require at least another month of work, but I'm optimistic and think I'll have a demo ready by the end of September!

Привет, друзья!
Сегодня у меня две новости: хорошая и плохая. Хорошая новость заключается в том, что я наконец-то закончил работу над демо-версией Аркадного Режима! Ура!
Плохая же новость заключается в том, что этого недостаточно.
Я мог бы выпустить демо-версию игры даже прямо сейчас! Но, будем честны, Аркадный Режим вряд ли привлечет внимание к игре или вообще заинтересует игроков. Я выпускаю подобные аркадные режимы уже пять лет, и игрокам это наверняка надоело.
Да, в Project Eclipse Аркадный Режим - это апогей всей той ерунды, которой я занимался последние пять лет. И этот режим действительно лучший из всех остальных. Но это не отменяет очевидного.
И передо мной стоит иллюзия выбора: выпустить игру сейчас и, скорее всего, похоронить ее или продолжить работу и сделать еще хотя бы один режим, пусть даже демо.
Я выберу второй вариант и начну работать над прологом Сюжетного Режима.
Это потребует еще как минимум месяц работы, но я оптимист и думаю, что к концу сентября у меня будет готовая демоверсия!
