The November Nightmare Update!

Hey again, guys! I hope you enjoyed the game (back when you played it once, because we all know that it has had no replay-ability)! With that being said, this is the Nightmare update:

(The additional files and assets have been removed to save file space. Want it back? Let me know!)

  • Campfire Changes! So, a lot needed to be done to the campfire. Overall, I’ve balanced it and mechanically changed it.

    1. A completely Revamped Healing System! Now, the campfire gives off an expandable aura. Overall, this was the more balanced and realistic approach that I should’ve taken during the jam; however, maybe not, as it was a pain to implement.

    2. The campfire is now Movable (when there’s no flames on it, of course)! You can now hold the “right click” mouse button to grab the campfire, and release it to move it! Also, it won’t spawn at the center anymore, so you’ll have to quickly adjust if you want to survive!

  • Visual Changes! I hope this update makes the game look less ugly without removing the “hey, this game’s art was made in 2 hours” feel. Basically, I didn’t change the art. Instead, I did some GUI cleanup and took the baby zombies off of Pogo sticks (oh yeah, and some other stuff, but I don’t want to bore you)!

  • Baby Zombies (don’t ask where they come from)! A Complete AI Rework for the baby zombies. Now, they are Thieves, and will try anything to steal your coal. Also, and while this may not be a baby zombie change but I needed a place to put it, the zombie is on lookout, calling on it’s friends when the scene is empty.

  • Balancing Changes! Nerf. Buff. Nerf. Buff. Yes, these numbers seem random, but they work… trust me. Here’s the complete list of the changes:

    1. A 10% Sniper fire-rate increase with a 15% range decrease.

    2. An 11.11% Machine Gun fire-rate decrease with a 40% damage increase.

    3. A 20% Tank Zombie speed increase with a 10% damage decrease.

    4. A 10% Fast Zombie speed decrease with a 40% damage increase.

    5. A 100% All Zombie coal drop chance decrease.

    6. A 16.66% Player coal holding speed decrease.

And that’s all folks! Stay tuned for more Monthly updates, and make sure to report any bugs or high scores :)

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
