The past 2 days have been some of the busiest ever, but no progress to report -- because it's been re-writes of existing dialogue to improve characterization and world building.

Today I plan to work on overworld stuff to take a writing break

They are a raccoon who doesn't strongly feel emotions.

They'll appear later in area 1!

chillin' by the SYRUP cooler

MORE dialogue sprites, this time for a previously mentioned goober. I still won't spoil anything, but they're used as Petrichor's app icon for a very good reason. This character now has the most dialogue sprites of any in the game! (26 total)
