TRTF 1-4 did pretty well, @TylerAhlstrom made a good series, well TRTF 1 was bad, but anyways, in 2015 Tyler was gonna remake TRTF 1, but the gamejolt page was taken down before he could start work on it. So he made a new game of the same name “The Return to Freddy’s : Remastered” he introduced the hybrid animatronics (which at first we’re just modified versions of the TRTF 4 models) and a teaser game was released. Eventually the game was renamed “The Return to Freddy’s : Rebooted” the hybrids were replaced with the Tortures, and a demo was released, and I think one teaser game where your in a bedroom and nightmare lockjaw hunts you down, the demo was boring, Tyler made the game an official entry into the saga renaming it “The Return to Freddy’s 5” the game switched to unreal engine briefly, then back to click team, the unfinished demo released, showing Torture Lockjaw and Torture Foxy, Tyler swapped the game to free roam, he started work on FRANKBURT’s and _RADSLA_ he cancelled the game and gave it to other developers (@ToonsterGames95 , @TannerFeline , and @bioninjagames ) the game was canceled by them as well, TRTF 1-4 was also meant to get major updates, they were also cancelled, TRTF 4 was the last official TRTF game until The original Desolation was released by @Breim , now comes the hoax’s, in 2017, Tyler announced “The Return to Freddy’s : Chapter one” being a reboot of the original TRTF saga, he even said he would revive TRTF 5 as “The Return to Freddy’s : The Final Chapter” he was forced to reveal that this game was a hoax and not a FNaF fangame at all, and the games name was “The Road That Falls” Kriya studios is currently working on this. Leaving The Return to Freddy’s behind, thankfully, the fans have made revivals of TRTF 5 and remakes of TRTF 1-4 and TRTF’s legacy lives on today thanks to the fan base.
