Those of you following the game will surely have noticed the lack of activity over the last couple of months, so I thought I’d provide some context for the long silence:
During last autumn we decided to get the multiplayer part of Immemorial working well enough to release a demo, and since this goal was reached, there hasn’t been much activity. This is mainly due to a rise in activity surrounding a random pop-up project in the form of our media jam-game Bunny Breeding Simulator, which really was a fresh breath of air after the comparatively heavy work surrounding our other games.
The other big reason is that the release of Cosmic Kites is approaching rapidly, and we still have some things to finish up. More info on this later further on!
The last reason is that we’ve been working on setting up a new company for Fishmoose Interactive (“Aktiebolag” instead of “Enskild firma”), which has taken more time than anticipated.
So how does the future look for Immemorial?
Well, we won’t abandon the game - that’s for sure. But it might take quite some time before we get back to working on it more actively. We might push out some minor fixes/updates over the coming months, but we don’t have anything major planned at the moment.
After the release of Cosmic Kites, we intend to support it wholeheartedly through the Early Acess-period, as well as (perhaps) pushing Bunny Breeding Simulator through Steam Greenlight, in order to get it out as soon as Cosmic Kites leaves the Early Access-program. After this unknown period of time, we’re sure to get back to working on Immemorial in one way or another!
Until then, if you have any thoughts, questions, ideas, or just about anything really - don’t hesitate to contact us here on GameJolt or at fishmooseinteractive[at]gmail.com
All the best.
