The thing is a wrong gone experiment to do a bio gun.(by Dielc)
We dont sure if its solid or gas but we sure that the harm it does is psychological and physical.
Dielc got attacked by the thing and he took out his own eyes to not get hard pyschological damage.This is the reason that he has the eyes he made instead of organic ones.
Fun fact:
The desing of the snowman form of diek had been inspired by a scene from one of my dreams(just like the desing of the thing)
(I dont fully remember the human one so it probaply had some differences in there)
