In OQIN there are three different world maps. Here's some descriptions of each map and what you can do in them

GENSOKYO

Gensokyo is the place where almost every single Touhou has taken place and as such is the place where you'll spend the most of your time. Gensokyo is laid out as a horizontal rectangle is full of many different places. There many dungeons that Reimu (and by extension you) can explore, some of which revolve around various sidequests in the game. There are three different towns: Kappa Valley, Tengu Village and the Human Village. In the Human Village you solve various Youkai Incidents or fight in the World Video Fighting Tournament.

The Lagar Realm

The Lagar Realm is only really important in the last three chapters of the game but you'll have to tackle several different dungeons from a robotics factory, two mansion, and several different areas full of twists and surprises. But once you've beaten the game you can go to...

Former Hell

Former Hell is unlockable via New Game+ and is full of sidequests and extra dungeons that the player can face, but be warned as the enemies and bosses here are extra difficult. You can visit a town run by the oni and somehow having an inflow of suspiciously elderly German folk (but don't mind them), you can go to the Palace of the Earth Spirits to meet some of the girls from "Subterrainian Animisim" and do a series of sidequests helping Okuu run the Nuclear Furnace from everything from finding some Uranium-238 and even fighting a demon born from a nuclear criticality incident. Then there's Mr. Id, a man who wants to DOOM with several levels that you'd have to WAD through...
