Many of you sure know or have heard/played ScratchJr, the "mobile version" of Scratch, but what if I told you that Scratch 3.0 has an official Android version? Yes, you heard right, Scratch 3.0 has an official mobile port...Well, how did you find about the existence of this version...And most important, is it good? I'll try to answer all the possible questions that round your head in this port, actually there are 2 mobile versions of Scratch, one unnofficial, which is an Android Port of the old Scratch 2.0, and the official one, made by Scratch Foundation, which is a fully adapted mobile version of Scratch 3.0. With that said, let me start.
Scratch 2.0 Unnofficial Android Port
This is a fanmade unnofficial Android Port of the PC version of Scratch 2.0, I won't enter in a lot of details about this version, but, even being a mobile adaptation of the PC version, the controls aren't that bad, but still it's not the best option to code your games on the go. In case you want to try it, here's the old Scratch forum post including the download link (forgot to say that there's also a iOS version available).
And now, I present to y'all, the best mobile game engine, Scratch 3.0 Android.
Scratch 3.0 official Android version
This version of Scratch is basically what you've always thought of, an 1:1 port of the PC version of Scratch 3.0, with fully adapted mobile controls, designed to adapt to every type of screen. In this version of the engine you can do basically the same as in the PC version (besides searching for community projects), that means that you can export the games that you do and import existing ones using a .sb3 file of the project.
Ok, ok, everything looks so good and wonderful, but, why it doesn't appear in Google Play when I search up for Scratch?
That's a (kinda) simple question, it doesn't appear in Play Store because Scratch Foundation built the last version of the app using SDK API 23, with is an old version of the Android SDK, meaning that new Android phones, which have an Android version newer than Android 6.0 can't download the app unless they install it through an apk file.
EDIT: Just found that lastest version is 3.0.65, which has been built using API 26 (Android 8.0), but still isn't available in newer Android devices
I hope you enjoyed this post.

P.S: Pocket Code creators are so lucky that Scratch official mobile version doesn't show up in Google Play lol
