There a fan theory about Donkey Kong Bonanza that a read some where on the internet i don't remember where i read it from, read in article for the fan theory.
the fan theory go as this.
This Donkey Kong you play as is not the same donkey kong from donkey kong country but you play as cranky kong dad in Donkey Kong Bonanza that would technically make cranky kong, donkey kong the 2th and donkey kong in donkey kong country, donkey kon the third in the game.
and i would like to say this make sense for the games timeline in a whole a lot of sense and and fit perfectly in my opinion.
