Hello. This is just a quick update about the previously stated 2 demos.
One of them isn't real, isn't going to be, and never was.
Let me explain.
So last year, I had the idea of "oh what if I made an April Fools version of SSCN" and so I started brainstorming.
I am now realizing that I'm never gonna get this thing out if I focus on something completely different.
So now I'm sort of "cancelling" the April Fools demo.
And as such, I wanted to cover the various ideas I had for it.
Starting with:
CLONERUNNER
This idea was a simple endless runner idea featuring the FNaS 1 characters in an environment similar to that of the RC special stages.
It's what these sprites are for:
I also made a tileset for obstacles and other stuff:
This is what the SSCN version of the checker was originally for before I moved it to being the main thing replacing the RC version.
Overall this was a solid idea that I had plans to expand upon later, and who knows, it may even still see the light of day. We'll just have to see.
MM but SSCN
This one was pretty brief, and also came before CloneRunner.
It was just MM but all the graphics remade in the SSCN style.
Not much to say, and nothing was made for it.
As I said, brief.
UNNAMED SSCN CLICKER GAME
This one was a Clicker game mixed with a Tower defence game, with all the Demo's characters in it either helping in the clicker section or the td section.
The only real thing of note was the idea of me being the shopkeeper with a mini version of Sonic from Sonic Adventure being there to make random remarks when you click him.
Only thing made was a few renders of that Sonic:
(posting all of them would take too much space if you ask me, it's also very repetitive)
Overall, meh. It's alright in concept. However it's far beaten out by:
SSCN PARODY: I AM THE REAL GAME
I love this one, a top-down Tower Defence in the style of CloneRunner, it was going to feature the cast of the Demo as the opponents that you would buy to get more points, which could be used to get more stuff.
The shopkeeper was an interesting one.
Introducing... Stan the Salesblock:
(Certain things are hidden to conceal potential plans)
He's the polar opposite to Mark, caring little about the quality of the product, and more about the money he makes from selling it.
Last bit of concept art is for a power gauge.
Mostly just figuring out how it should be coded.
As for the last thing from this idea...
Some gameplay from the only build ever!
Overall, a pretty solid idea again. This one is less likely of returning in some form in the main game. Who knows, a side game maybe? Eh... Probably not.
But one thing's for sure, Stan is sure to make his mark sooner or later ;)
All this to say, no the demo's not cancelled. It's just some scrapped April Fools stuff.
Thanks for reading this and have a great day!
