When my brother taught me how to draw a star, he taught me do draw one using intersecting lines. And when I'm older, I finally realized that what he taught me to draw is not a normal five-pointed star, but a PENTAGRAM.
Man, it is like that he has taught magic to me by teaching how to "summon" a pentagram on paper.
I also learned how to draw other star polygons using Wikipedia's picture resources, and I learned how to draw a 7-pointed star (representing many aspects in Christianity, including the Seven Virtues, the Seven Sacraments in Catholicism, the number 7 in the Book of Revelation, the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary, etc.) and nine-pointed star (representing two other aspects in Christianity such as the choirs of angels, the nine Gifts of the Holy Spirit).
Why I said this is I already added these shapes into the logo of Sanctum Puella Mari, along with Aya's holy cards from another proposed logo that I designed for my series. As with I said with the symbolism of the seven- and nine-pointed stars above, the pentagrams in the logo do not have an occultistic meaning, instead it refers to the five wounds of Christ. Also the shape has appeared many times in Touhou, with the most notable appearance is in some of Sanae's Spell Cards (include the inverted variant).
I'm gonna finish the logo in the nearest time, along with revamping the thumbnail and game header of Daimonic Affright again.
