I would like to know your opinion, because the first version has been around for a long time. It is small and convenient, easy to draw and redraw, but it can only depict a few emotions.
The second version is more detailed, I like it, as well as the first one. It can depict many emotions, but creating new sprites will take more time, and of course it will take up more space on the screen.

Speaking of sprites, this is what the old versions looked like, even smaller and pot-bellied. At the moment I am more than happy with their appearance, but who knows, maybe they will change again someday.

Yesterday I was working on a small thing and made a mistake that limited the character to walking diagonally, which worked well for the stairs.
