I'm not from the US, I'm from the UK, yet even here people, too, are upset. Many people outside of the US have family inside of it, and even if they don't, they understand what it could be like. Even if you aren't trans, you aren't gay, you aren't queer, I'm sure you can understand. Imagine this: You're sat down, with your partner, and then you hear: you, legally, cannot be with said person, and if you are to be caught, you could face severe penalties under Islamic law. Same-sex relations between men are considered a grave offense and can lead to punishments ranging from flogging to the death penalty, depending on the circumstances and number of offenses. For women, same-sex relations are also illegal, though punishments typically involve flogging rather than capital punishment. This is the reality in Iran, and many other countries. Even in more 'progressive' countries, they, too, face issues.
Please, stay safe, wherever or whoever you are. No matter what, you are loved and you are cared about. If you live in any countries, or are in a place where you cannot come out, please, feel free to use this (No, I did not make it). It is entirely anonymous, just open an incognito tab, and go ahead.
You are loved: https://www.queeringthemap.com to whoever this matters to, US citizen or not, I am truly, truly sorry that you have to go through this. Please remember, no matter your situation, there will be people who care about you, even if you gotta do a little searching.

Just to lighten it a little, it's also Mari Curie's birthday, the first woman to ever win a Nobel Prize. She got it for conductiong pioneering research on radioactivity.
Along with that, here's my attempt at a heart design. Please, have as good as a day, night, afternoon, whatever it is for you.
