Hey again! After a bit of development time we're finally ready to showcase whatever we've been working on along with a few announcements so this might be a tiny bit longer than usual. We also got many announcements when it comes to socials and collabs so this will kind of be a dense devlog
- Undertale's 10th anniversary -
10 years of the game that made us grow together feels insane to hear, although we haven't prepared an artpiece for it we've compiled some thoughts from the team to show how much this game meant to us.
Since I joined the undertale community it helped to motivate to create things and gave me hope. I feel included in this community and people here are very nice. I am very grateful for being apart of this place it changed my life and gave me light. -Jana
Well, Undertale was a huge part of my childhood, and it pretty much shaped my sense of humor and taste for games and stories. I've never had bad experiences with the community, personally, they're so creative, respectful and supportive in my experience. I'm grateful to toby for building such a safe space for people of all genders, sexualities, races and nationalities. -Krystal
How Undertale affected me and my time in its community is really hard to put into words. The community definitely helped encourage me to start creating pixel art and even inspired me to go as far as making a fan game. Even when Deltarune came out, it stuck with me like a childhood memory, like a safe sense of home. And to be honest, Idk where I’d be without it. ( probably making a fnaf game or smt. ) -RBN
-Anniversary stream
As for the 10th anniversary stream, we will add some writing elements to make the story more interesting and coherent, especially in the origins of the new xharacters thatll be presented in the game. For the areas, we dont think that implementing them would feel natural for the game progression but still isnt a bad idea on paper. This would have to be discussed later with the team.
Now onto the new content!
First up along with Skys redesign, she also got a new ref sheet made by our wonderful artist whittie!

On the course of the last devlog we've remade the dialogue boxes to make them themed to each areas and tweaked some character profiles to make them look more natural. As for tilesets weve remade some of the ruins and we updated the last sneak peek in the projects gamepage, even if its still a minor change it is still welcomed.

UI wise we made a first battle prototype showcasing the dummy in the ruins, we may go back to a black bg and white battle sprites but it just depends on how daunting the coloring will be on more complex areas

We've changed many things for the menu UI and we've decided that itll be an individual screen by itself so it wont include borders similar to games like isat, however we may scrapt this idea if too tedious to implement.

For snowdin, lots of the tilesets are done but some need more polishing for it to be completely final, the idea of snowdin would be much more vertical than a classic UT area kind of like climbing a mountain to reach the next area, we've played with some foreground effects to get a similar feeling.

We've began making the powerplant tilesets since a bit and some worked out really well so take a sneak peek until all the tilesets are finished!

-New characters?
Thats right! We have concepted the 2 main npcs for the powerplant area and they are all written, the concept is still confidential but we will have implemented sprites for them in game so not much will be showcased by fear of not spoiling too much of the story
-Engine progress?
We haven't really been finding much coders until now so I (Bliss) will take care of it until we find enough to program the game at a decent pace, so expect some engine progress from now on.
-Social updates
As for other socials for Fractured uploads have been kind of sparse so weve decided to reorganise how content is going to be uploaded in socials, we will host an ask blog on tumblr and small uploads are going to be exclusive to twitter and bluesky. -Collaboration
I am more than happy to announce that we have collaborated with new home studios as to looking for team members! Everyone there is super talented and welcoming and we are very grateful to have our project under this studio, they also have opened a public server! -Team recruitements
Speaking of. We are looking for team members that would want to work on the game into a long term pace.
-Musicians: with more musicians we would be able to upload a bit more of the soundtrack to the socials helping us build an audience

-Conclusion
Well..I think thats it, this devlog took lots of time and effort to polish and work through and we are glad to give a sign that we didnt stop development and that this project might grow in the community and we are all for it. Thats all for now, later!
