Hello, everyone. Welcome to the first UNDERTALE ORANGE devlog. In this post, we'll cover the recent development, such as; Art & Sprites, Coding and Writing.
ART & SPRITES
In the "Art & Sprites" Department, not much has been done. Mainly, because not much stuff is to be done. Which basically means that we didn't make much art because there isn't much art to make overall, if you understand.
But, that does not mean we don't have anything to show off.
First off, we'll show off TORIEL.
( Keep in mind, this design is a work in progress thus; may get changed in the future. )
CODING
Not much has been done in the Coding department as well. However, we would like to inform you about something important; We will be using TML's Undertale Engine
Now that that's said, let me show you some mockup screenshots, to give you a feel of how the DEMO will look, and feel like!
( Do not worry, the game won't be as zoomed in like this mockup, it has been done purely since the rest of the room is pretty empty. )
Well, we do not have much more to show from here too, but i can say that i've been understanding the engine better and better! If a part or few of the demo are stable enough, we'll release those parts to the public for playtesting and/or feedback.
WRITING
So far in the writing, Cost3r, has been discussing many topics about canon compatability with Zaxento, and they've both given me green and red lights on certain things that fit, and dont. So far, everything seems like a stable story, that even tho starts of similarily to Undertale, is also different.
Me and Cost3r have also Started on a Story doc, but not much has been done except the intro, and we plan to do more soon!
Unfortunately, there's not much to show, except a single line of dialogue, here it is!
It's not much, but it is what it is, guys.
Well, i hope you enjoyed this short, though, bountiful update on the game's development! We don't know when the next one will happen, but we hope soon!
