Undertale Plus LITE will release in 2026!

Development for the main content of Undertale Plus is wrapping up and we'd like to bring these features to everyone!

What is Undertale Plus LITE?

Undertale Plus LITE is us packaging Undertale Plus together and releasing it without Add-Ons.

We've been developing the base game for around 2 years now, and we believe that it wouldn't be fair to just sit on the content that we've been developing as we start transitioning development to Add-Ons. LITE is essentially our solution. It's a version of Undertale Plus without any Add-ons.

Q: What content exactly is in Undertale Plus LITE?

A: Everything highlighted in the trailer will be included in LITE's release. There's other things that weren't highlighted in the trailer because we want players to experience some content themselves.

That being said, here are some non-spoilery QoL features you can expect in LITE:

New Title Screen

As you progress through the game, new title screen variants will unlock, and you can choose whichever title screen you like most, or let it randomly shuffle through the game's areas!

Console Content

All console-exclusive content has been added, including Borders!

Audio Control

You can now independently control the volume of the game's music and sound effects.

Q: What content won't be in Undertale Plus LITE?

A: Content showcased on our Add-Ons page on our website will not be included in LITE. This includes Deltatweaks, Connect+, Hard Mode, and everything else teased so far..

In addition, some content originally announced to be in the base release won't be included at launch. This is because their development is being shifted to Add-Ons or being reworked in some way.

Content that won't be available in LITE at launch:

• Colored Sprites (not to be confused with Flavored Sprites)

• Battle Backgrounds

• Damaged Sprites

• Battle Dojo

• Ending Tracker

We plan to eventually update the LITE version to include these features. Colored Sprites will be our first priority.

Q: Will Undertale Plus LITE eventually become obsolete?

A: Nope! Undertale Plus LITE and the full version of Undertale Plus will both be updated simultaneously once the full version of Undertale Plus is released. Once Undertale Plus receives Add-Ons over the coming years, we imagine the file size will become quite big. LITE is our solution to this issue, so that people can download a much smaller version of Undertale Plus.

Q: How will I install LITE?

A: We will release a tutorial on our YouTube page once LITE is released.

Q: Is this an April Fools' joke?

A: We understand the timing for this is poor, but we'd like to stress that this isn't an April Fools' joke. We just wanted to do a special announcement for this 2nd anniversary of Undertale Plus!

What's next?

Currently, we are wrapping up development on LITE to get it in your hands as soon as possible. (There isn't much left to do!) Once LITE has been released and is in a stable state, we will begin to shift our priority over to Add-On and full release content.
