Heya everyone! It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been up to a lot of stuff recently; UNDERFELL Episode 5, the new Skeletal Vengeance fangame, and a lot of real life stuff like school. But I finally got the motivation and time to work on another update.
Now what does this update comprise of? Mostly a lot of quality of life improvements like fullscreen and fixed crashes, but another thing is the Addition of Balls.
BACKGROUND TYPES
That's right, there are now multiple types of backgrounds that you can set for games! This is set by the room host and can be selected to be the following:
STANDARD - The standard static grid pattern.
BOSS - Like NORMAL, but looks like the background from the Toriel and Napstablook fight from UNDERTALE.
WAVING - The grids move up and down akin to the Undyne fight from UNDERTALE.
BALLS - A gradient background breaths as orange balls rise from the bottom of the screen like flames, akin to the Asgore fight from UNDERTALE.
MATRIX - Welcome to the MATRIX. This was a mistake in adding WAVING that I just decided to add into the final game because I thought it was cool.
NEW SKINS
A few people have asked for some new skins, and so a few new skins were added this update! Napstablook, Monster Kid, Lancer, and Crossbones from TS!UNDERSWAP are now playable in-game! Susie has also seen a slight change.
The fine folks on Team Switched allowed me to not only use Crossbones as a playable character, but have also allowed me to use a couple tracks from TS!UNDERSWAP as a new music selection! Music ID 17 uses the following tracks as normal and tense tracks respectively:
Knights! Trouble Afoot! by colinator27, Ethosein, TRéZZY
SOUL Ablaze by LucasPucas, Robin Blend, ExtendoFun, junnboi
QUALITY OF LIFE IMPROVEMENTS AND OTHER CHANGES
A lot of quality of life improvements have been made to the game due to the original release being pretty barebones and kinda broken, including:
Fixed crashes due to poor implementation of lobby QOL features
Fixed a softlock that results from a player timing out, crashing, or otherwise fails to disconnect properly (give it around 16-20 seconds)
Fullscreen mode (F4) and Window scaling options.
The game window will flash when it's your turn if the game is unfocused.
UPnP implementation that allows automatic port forwarding if the host's router supports and has enabled UPnP.
Discord party integration (still kinda buggy but works)
Single track music can now be played outside of 1v1s.
Music tracks load better in UNO games.
More expansive use of the internal localizer for a lot more of the text, which could pave the way for multi-language support in the future.
Various other bug fixes and tweaks.

Next update should contain more interesting new features. I'm currently aiming at adding new game rules and many more theme and skin choices, especially with DELTARUNE Chapter 2 having released very recently. Hopefully this update contains enough quality of life improvements to make the game more enjoyable and less of a hassle.
I'd personally like to thank TheFamiliarScoot for doing a lot of work on the update. If I'm gonna be honest, he's a lot more dedicated to the project than I am.
