UNRELATED devlog!


This week, I've been:

  • Working on the battle system. I've got two attacks programmed, but I'm having trouble getting the turn system to increment, meaning only one of them works. Progress though, am I right?

  • Sprites, sprites, and more sprites. Alice needs a bunch of battle animations, really the whole battle system is very animated and needs a lot of spritework. Been working on that.

  • Building the main overworld map. Added some rooms to the library, but mostly the hometown. I just started playing through Earthbound and it's been giving me a lot of inspiration for how the map should look. ;)

UNRELATED update! working on the menu some more. Still trying to find a good font? I'll probably just use the UNDERTALE one, but I'm experimenting with some others. The one here is from EARTHBOUND!

I love how it's implied that Clover isn't from cowboy times, like this little eight year old has justice in their soul and their outfit needs to reflect that
