This update has been in development for too long now, now I've decided to finish and release it.
Change log:
Changes:
(Windows only) Reduced loading times, now that the game makes use of the 2.5+ DLC, including upgrading from DX9 to DX11.
(Android only) Added JPEG compression to some images, and converted all MP3 and WAV sounds to OGG format. When compared with the previous update, the file size of the APK file has been reduced from 173 MB (320 MB after installation and first launch) to 97 MB (192 MB after installation and first launch).
(Android only) Increased minimum Android version to 5.0.
Replaced the splash screen with the one that's used in the second game. Also, it now shows up before the warning screen.
Moved the Press Enter to skip text when viewing a cutscene through the Extra menu to the bottom right. On Android, this button has been made larger and now just says Skip.
The words Bootleg Plush's in the main menu are now on a single line.
The 2022 in the text at the bottom right corner of the main menu now reads 2022-2023, since this update was released in 2023.
New designs for the Options and Exit buttons in the main menu.
Changed delete save data text in the main menu to Press and hold DELETE to reset save data. in the Windows version, and to Tap and hold here to reset save data. in the Android version.
The menu backgrounds with the characters are now a single object.
All option descriptions are now visible at once in the options menu.
The Title Screen Music option has been renamed to Menu Theme.
Fixed a minor error in the Menu Theme option description, where the word the was repeated twice.
The loading screen now has the text Loading... next to the clock icon.
Replaced the monitor button with the one from FNaF 1, except brightened a bit to make it not hard to see.
Improved raise/lower monitor code, it's less janky now, as you still could use the button while the raising or the lowering animations were playing.
When using a controlled shock, the screen will flash for a split second before going black and fading back in.
Changed the controlled shock sound to the one from FFPS.
Removed other subtitle languages and only left English. This was done because:
It would take too much time to translate everything to the planned languages.
I was relying on getting help from others.
And finally, fonts work differently in the DX11 runtime, meaning they're automatically embedded with the game's EXE, and a single font may not have every character for every language.
And even if were to include all other planned languages, for example, one of the languages (Japanese) would likely need a new translator, because the translator for that language (@NickNacks ) no longer follows me.
(Windows only) Replaced the panorama shader with the Perspective object. This was done because the game now makes use of the 2.5+ DLC, and the shader didn't have a DX11-compatible version.
Each secret jumpscare are now on separate frames for each one.
The credits and the cheats in the Extra menu are now unlocked by unlocking all 5 stars, instead of by only unlocking the Endless Mode star.
The credits are now on a separate frame and each credit is a separate object for each one. It now uses its own theme (the Good Ending theme from the FNaF 3 remastered mobile and console ports).
Added tony14's name to the credits. He's the person who made the splash screen music for me.
Slightly reduced the duration of the blip animation in the cutscenes.
The amount of time needed to survive in the Endless Mode on 4/20 mode to unlock the 5th star has been reduced from 15 minutes to 10 minutes.
New Features:
The stars in the main menu now spin.
Added a Links menu. This new menu allows you to open my profile, open my community, open the game's page and watch the game's release trailer on YouTube.
Added a static effect toggle to the options menu.
Added a jumpscare sound toggle to the jumpscare viewer in the Extra menu. The sound is also muted by default now.
Added tips that show up before the loading screen when starting a night. There are 8 tips, and game selects one of them at random.
Added a Dreadbear plush to go along with the other Halloween decorations, if they're enabled.
Golden Freddy can now rarely appear in the office when lowering the monitor.
Added survival time in the Game Over screen when dying in Endless Mode.
Added a check which checks if the characters' AI levels are over 20 when starting the night. If any of them are, they are reset to 20.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed the door and the lights staying on if they're in use when running out of power.
Fixed the Mute Call button not fading out unless clicked on manually after the phone call ends on Night 1. This was happening because it was checking if the minute counter was at 64, which can't happen normally.
(Windows only) Fixed Night 5 not unlocking Night 6 and the first star when beating it for the first time. This bug was already fixed in the Android version in update 1.2.1.
Fixed the blip sound sometimes not playing in the cutscenes.
Attempted to fix again a bug with Funtime Freddy, where you could make him go back to Cam 4 and cancel his attack by closing the door while he's in the office.
