Welcome back to THE BALLAD OF FIREY JR! Over summer break, we've made heaps of progress and we're on the way to a release of the pilot of the game.

...Hm? You think I stuttered? NOPE, I spoke correctly! Allow me to elaborate.

Part 1: Game release plans.

During programming of the game, I had a neat little idea, being "what if i segmented the game into specific portions?" and later down the line, I finally came to the conclusion of: "what if i made those portions into episodes?"

The current plan so far is as follows.

PILOT: SLAPBATTLE (Reprise) // Firey Encounter
EPISODE 2: FLAMING VENGEANCE + DIVIDED BY TWO // First half of the Firey Jr. fight.
EPISODE 3: THROUGH THE FIRE // Phase 3 of the Firey Jr. fight.
EPISODE 4: AT STAKE // The final phase of the fight.
		
	

There is indeed a season two planned, and I do indeed have the releases already laid out... but you'll have to wait to hear about that.

Now, onto the topic of the pilot itself.

Part 2: PILOT updates.

As I've said before, we've gotten a ton of work done over summer break, most of which has excelled the original J.S. era by a hundred times if not more.

I can't easily summarize our progress into words, so please feel free to enjoy these screenshots!

Aalllright, I think I fed you enough for a bit. You won't be starving for content as we're actually almost done with the pilot. (Fun fact: I only showed you a mere 20% of the actual stuff shown in-game.)

Part 3: Future plans after Episode 1.

This was probably news soon-to-come for folks who are in the team--but after the pilot episode releases, we're gonna be moving to Godot for all future releases and games, meaning--this will be the last Clickteam Fusion 2.5-based project to come from me.

If you're iffy on how long it'll take to get our progress back, fear not! Have some looks into the engine we'll use after the pilot releases:

Part 4: Surprise!

I've always held the first real Rigged Votes demo (the one from the Geo era) dear to my heart as it's what jump-started the rest of the development process being as fun as it was, even if everything that happened in the last 4 years after took a toll on the game.

So, I figured--why not repay it?

That's right, that era's Phase 1 is going to be getting a 2025 remaster from the ground up! Look into the former Rigged Votes with a new lens.

This is also a gift from me to my loyal audience for sticking around as long as you have. From the bottom of my heart--thank you.

Part 5: Conclusion.

If I had to guess when the first episode released, I'd probably say it'll come out some time in October. (Hopefully on the 7th, 'cuz that's my birthday ) But don't take my word for it, though! The team goes at their own pace and that lets them put all the time they need into each asset to make sure it glows. It's only fair for the last era of Rigged Votes to be the best.
