After one good last crazy roll-up of tasty updates last week, it was almost certain I’d find a few small issues to improve on or bugs to fix in the following week.
The biggest element in this update is a change to Foxy’s behavior, where using the camera on him will prevent him from starting a run. (Originally this idea was attempted at v0.6 with a more ambitious approach but was abandoned along the way; now at least the mechanic should work as expected)
Other changes include a quicker selector on the party time screen, a fix where the animatronic figurines on the right desk in Party Time mode would slow performance and finally a faster opening security cam system.
There’s been adjustments brought to power consumption to allow players to watch Foxy longer: but watch out; alike the original FNAF that mechanic is a downright trap! :-)
Here’s an overview of everything that’s been done:
v1.1p1 “It’s patching party time!”
-Fixed “Party Time!” HUD affecting framerate on older systems: Animatronics now shown on holographic plane
-Sped up Party Time setting selector
-Reduced Party Time selector volume
-Eliminated bug where “Begin Party” could be accidentally trigerred while selecting difficulty scales
-Fixed security camera 1st use brightness bug
-Party Mode Nightmare System “?” is no longer a total and utter whimp
-Nightmare System/Golden freddy reacts more immediately to change in player activity level
-Removed static when reopening camera
-Removed bug where clicking to open the camera sometimes also changed camera
-Sped up the cam system transition
-Fixed issue where cam system mouse pointer would fly out of room (Yup, because Unity)
-Foxy is unlikely to move and cannot start running if player is checking Pirate Cove cam
-Fixed audio sync on game over & win screens for slower systems
-Fixed bug where Party Time came up after beating Ultra without having beaten other difficulties
