Update v1.3.0 (a.k.a. THE PERFECT STORM) has arrived.


First off, uh, sorry I'm late but happy new year!

After a grand total of two years of planning and work, True Perfect mode is now available for you all to try. There's a lot I could say in this moment, but admittedly it still doesn't feel real to me.

Let's instead cut to the chase and start with:

Like v1.2.0, there's a little too much to put into this devlog, so I'll simply leave a full changelog:

Most of the changes are found with True Perfect mode, but Perfect mode, along with the base game have some smaller tweaks as well!

PERFECT CACOPHONY

It's here. At long last.

To those that have read the initial devlog for True Perfect mode, or have seen the showcase for all of this mode, you already have an idea just how absolutely absurd PERFECT CACOPHONY is. As promised, this has become by far one of the hardest challenges in all of FNAF, and now everyone has a chance to try it themselves.

Currently, there are no victors for this mode. There are a few that have given it a go, and some have already gotten close, but with the recent finalized changes I'm not expecting this mode to be completed anytime soon.

True Perfect mode all together is already harder than anything I have made before, and that's before PERFECT CACOPHONY is involved. Don't expect the rest of the presets to be a pushover, even some of the easier ones carry some weight with them.

And to those who wish to attempt to travel The Perfect Road, I wish you the best of luck.

The Future

Now that PERFECT CACOPHONY is finished, I'm expecting to make a v1.3.1 update at some point this month to patch some bugs, optimize the assets and code a little to improve frame rate and file size, and maybe add some smaller tweaks.

After that, I think I'm going to take a fairly sizeable break from development. Despite my love for the project, PERFECT CACOPHONY has taken a lot out of me and I think I wish to try and enjoy the start of new year just a little bit to myself.

Once I'm ready and in the right mindset, I will announce the start of development for FNAF 2 SCN. I'm gonna try something different this time and be a lot more open on its development and showing some of the cool stuff. I'm still looking forward to starting this one, hopefully you all don't mind waiting a little longer before the hype cycle can begin. :D

And as for the final thing this game is getting, don't worry about it right now. I'm not starting development on it for a long while. Just to remind you all, it has yet again evolved into something further than PC itself.

I will be keeping a close eye on anything I'll have to fix, and also keeping tabs on progress on PERFECT CACOPHONY. This is a very exciting time to be around here, and I look forward to seeing how things pan out!
