I thought this game would get lost in all of the new games that get published every day. I was completely wrong. In only two days, Project 0, a College end-term project that will probably never get any updates, got more views AND downloads than my personal game that I am “actively” developing, ONE_LINE, that has been published months ago!
I am genuinely surprised.
All I can say is thank you. I am not a known game developer, even if my games are good and fun. Seing that view spike in the game’s analytics actually made me unable to sleep last night. Seriously.
This brings me hope. My goal is to bring my best possible ideas to life. Project 0 wasn’t even supposed to be one of them. You see, it was only created as a College end-term project. So since it was for school, I could just make the base game and call it a day, right? The thing is, I never rush the release of any of my projects. Ever. Not even for school. I ALWAYS go further than what I am asked to do. And that’s what made Project 0 like this. I never used Unity before and look at how this project turned out: Pretty good. The same thing happened with another one of my games: The Weirdo Quiz. It was also a school project, but I didn’t want to rush it’s release. At the end, it turned out great for a first ever complete game. It even won an award at the school that year!
TL;DR: You can expect more great games from me in the future. I just need to find the time to make them because, you know, College. I already have a great game idea for next year or 2020! (I hope I don’t constraint myself too much here). It would almost be a spiritual successor to Project 0, but without the “copied from F-Zero” feel to it and a whole new gameplay style. In other words: A fully original game. I won’t spoil the idea of course. If you want to know more about it in the future, simply follow my profile. You won’t be disappointed.
Another thing that would help me is if you shared my games to people you know. I know I’m repeating myself here, but I don’t have any other way to advertise my work to the world. Some of them need that, like The Weirdo Quiz. It needs 3 concurrent players to actually “play” the game. And that never happened. So, if you do share them and my profile, I would really be grateful of you.
Thanks again for playing my games and for making me believe in my work!
