Capitalizing on the massive smear campaign organized against the Goddesses of Gamindustri, the Order of Rebirth attempt their biggest recruitment drive yet!

Meanwhile, our protagonists are making similar preparations to expose the anarchic motives of the Order's leadership. But when the Hunter's Guild of Lowee unravels a nefarious contingency plan long in the works, the party is forced to split up and thwart both schemes simultaneously...

...and we all know BAD THINGS HAPPEN when the CPUs set out on their own. Will history repeat itself? Find out now with the release of Chapter 6!

As usual, here's a list of additions/changes in this release. It's been 5 years, so there's a lot!

[Gameplay]

  • Chapter 6 added.

  • Hunter's Guild functionality implemented. You can now use the Crafting Shops in the Guild to turn your Monster Medals into exclusive Augments. (Licenses a.k.a. Crafting Recipes must be purchased from the Guild to see what you can make.)

  • Makers can now level up past 35, allowing them to learn their final skill. (The level cap for everyone is still 50.)

  • Planeptune has been given a massive visual makeover!

  • Golden Beach map layout revised slightly.

  • Seg-Son Path renamed to Mt. Nivell Trail. Extended the dungeon by a bit to more accurately reflect that this place is supposed to be based on dungeons in the official games like West Wind Valley, Jet Set Range, etc.

  • Added an Item Shop "vendor" in a certain dungeon in Chapter 2. Discounted prices because Noire.

  • Certain Goddess Statues are no longer limited use. All Goddess Statues and Supply Crates will be infinite use moving forward.

  • Added "Tiers" to the descriptions of Weapons and Armor, making it easier to tell whether a piece of gear is an upgrade or not. Some gear such as those found in Arcadia, or accessories found in chests will continue to be "untiered" indicating their unusual stat bonuses.

  • Increased stat boost for Gold Third's Tier 4 weapons.

  • Standardized elemental weaknesses for each monster category starting from Chapter 4 onwards. There will of course still be a handful of exceptions to this (for example, monsters found in a volcano will probably be weak to the Ice element), but this change should minimize guesswork or having to use Analyze all the time.

  • Completely removed dodge chance from the Chapter 2 final boss's minions. (Attack/Skill hit rates remain unchanged.)

  • Added Potion/Charger loot drops to more enemies

  • Revisions to dialogue in Chapter 1, 2 and 3. No core story changes were made. Mostly just extra characterization and cleaning up some awkward sounding lines.

  • The 2-line profile blurbs for most characters have been updated to reduce jank and awkward phrasing. You must visit any nation for the changes to reflect. (Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to do this.)

[Graphics]

  • New overworld and battle sprites for B-Sha and K-Sha

  • New animations for these skills: Quick Repair, Sand O'War, Hive Ripper, Plumgem Purge, Plumgem Expel

  • Added target cursors in battle for additional clarity on which ally/enemy you are targeting.

  • Adjusted graphic for the Gamindustri Graveyard battle background.

[Character]
Changes can be grouped into four categories:

#1: Cosmetic Changes
Flavor text for skills is now a different color from its actual effect. Due to text space restrictions, the amount of skills that have flavor text have also been reduced to up to three skills per Party Member. (Some characters have zero skills with flavor text althogether.)

#2: EXE Drive Rebalancing

Nepgear:
- Celestial Severance now deals strong instead of regular Physical damage.

Ram:
- Absolute Zero no longer reduces target's INT, hits 1 less time, and now deals regular instead of strong Magic damage.
- Unlike Nepgear who cannot make use of the VITdown on her own, Ram can easily demolish enemies the turn after using Absolute Zero. This change brings her EXE Ability's power level down to be on par with the rest, while still being really good.

Blanc:
- Hard Break now also reduces the target's INT alongside STR.
- This change gives Blanc more ways to mitigate damage and function properly as a Tank. (Also I needed to move the INTdown somewhere.)

Uni:
- NGP no longer inflicts Bleed/Sap, instead damages twice.
- Noire and Uni's new Augmented Skills synergize with Bleed/Sap respectively. Said skills are designed and balanced around the user not being able to apply the status themselves, so I wanted to keep it consistent regardless of NGP being an EXE Ability.

#3: Bleed/Sap Status Distribution
Sources of the Bleed status are significantly harder to come by compared to Sap. Thus the following changes are being made:

Neptune:
- New skill learned at Level 31 that can inflict Bleed, only useable while she has 50 or less EXE Gauge.
- Taking into consideration each character's weapon choice as well as their existing skillsets, Neptune makes the most sense out of everyone to be able to inflict Bleed, though it admittedly does sound a bit morbid. I am considering renaming the status to "Wound" or something like that in the future.

K-Sha:
- Stealth: Sawtooth and Stealth: Exhaust have been renamed to Serrated Round and Vampric Round respectively.
- Serrated Round now targets only 1 enemy with Bleed
- Both skills can now be used when not in Stealth, but now also have completely different effects if you are in Stealth.
- Serrated Round becomes Scourge Lash while in Stealth. This skill targets an enemy affected by Bleed and/or Drain and spreads those statuses to 2 other enemies.
- Vampric Round becomes Festering Drones while in Stealth. This skill is a single-target physical attack that can randomly deal up to 4 more hits.

VAL:
- Effects of her skills have been re-arranged. This also allows her to overall synergize better with her own skillset.
- Rapid Slicer is now Instant.
- Entry Frag is no longer Instant, and has no more accuracy penalty. The skill also now inflicts VITdown.
- Atomic Decay no longer inflicts VITdown, and instead has a high chance to inflict Bleed.
- Hive Ripper (formerly Divideath) no longer inflicts Bleed, and now deals bonus damage to a Poisoned target. The bonus increases per stack of Orange ValTime.

Blizza:
- Ethereal Spores will now alternate between a chance to inflict Curse and Sap with each use.

Even with these changes, Sap should still be somewhat easier to inflict than Bleed. This is consistent with the fact that there are less magic attackers than physical attackers in the game.

#4: Everything Else

- Uni, Ram and S-Sha: The "Interrupt" mechanic on some of their skills has been changed. Previously, it entirely resets the target's ATB bar from the Wind-Up stage back to the Charging Stage. Now, the skills reduce the target's ATB bar by a small amount, and can take effect in either the Charging or Wind-Up Stage. (Interrupt skills used by enemies e.g. Dogoos remain unchanged.)

- Nepgear, Blanc, Vert: First Aid will be replaced by a new skill called First Aid mk2 at level 34. Because of the way the engine works, the new skill is not retroactively learned if that character already is level 34 or beyond. You will have to level up once to learn the skill.

Neptune:
- Energize will now be replaced by Supercharge at level 31.
- Neptune will receive a new skill at the same level to retain having 8 skills. If you are already level 31 or higher, the same rules as First Aid mk2 described above will apply.

Noire:
- Net Shift will now be replaced by a new skill at level 31. If you are already level 31 or higher, the same rules as First Aid mk2 described above will apply.
- Crescent Sweep is now Crescent Dance, with a completely overhauled effect. It deals damage, then inflicts 1 instance of a new, unique status effect called "Astroglyph" based on if the target has Confuse, Silence, Paralyze or Curse. (i.e.: If the target is under the effect of all four mentioned statuses, then they will receive 4 Astroglyphs.) Each Astroglyph reduces the target's STR/VIT/INT/WIS by 5% (for a total of 20% with all 4 glyphs) and takes effect alongside the usual stat-down debuffs. This update further emphasizes Noire's skillset based around inflicting, and taking advantage of debuffs, as well as giving her more synergy with her sister.

Blanc:
- Taunt from Einschuchtern now lasts 3 turns, up from 2.
- Einschuchtern, in addition to providing Taunt, will now also provide a status effect called Snowveil. Snowveil is not duration based - instead, it has 5 layers (like the Bleed and Sap statuses). When Blanc is attacked, she will consume 1 layer to immediately recover 8% max hp. When Blanc receives healing, she will consume 1 layer to boost that healing value by 10%.
- Avalaunch renamed to Sleetdrift. Revised animation!

K-Sha:
- The effects of a Dance Skill will now always activate regardless of whether or not you successfully performed the dance inputs.
- Getting a "Perfect" on a Dance Skill will now a apply a buff called 'FC' to K-Sha. Getting a Perfect while already affected by FC will increase the stack by +1 (max of 3). FC multiplies her speed by 1.15/1.30/1.50 at 1/2/3 stacks.
- Attempted to fix K-Sha not returning to her starting position after using a Dance Skill.

C-Sha
- Stylish Chain SP Cost reduced to 50 (previously 100).

VAL:
- Lockdown renamed to Sand O'War.
- Adjusted the Crit Chance and Status Chance for each of Sand O'War's potencies.
- Divideath renamed to Hive Ripper.

Ele-Ar:
- Mend Soul and Break Soul renamed to Plumgem Purge and Plumgem Expel respectively.

Once again, thank you for your interest in this project. We're very close to the end now.

Many thanks as well to all the friends who were involved in helping out with this release, from story and dialogue proofreading, flavor suggestions, and even javascript assistance.
