v1.7.7 - Best laid plans...

I've been imagining Team SPAZ's vacation for at least a year...and then when I go to write it down...everything changes...hopefully for the better...Jade's a lot less involved than I'd originally planned...


Bugs/Minor Changes:

-Zen 3.0 being left in inventory...now removed after the scene where it's used and when starting a New Game+.

--Anything without a description is either very obvious from the name/image or something you're never supposed to be able to check into...or intentionally mysterious...I do that sometimes too.

-"Haduken" and "Parasol" now have descriptions.

-Rachel's dialogue portrait was wrong during the quests in Vale if you waited until the 2nd free time session to do them.

-Scrolling text in "Free Time - 3" could run again if save>close>reload...giving you extra copies of "Master Guardian" and possibly putting your party in the wrong order...fixed to only run once (requires "Text 1" switch like the other start events at free time sessions).

-Yin's motorcycle now makes its decided upon sound effect when she punches it (happens twice right before content ends).

-Sound effects added to CCT entry scene during "The Harder They Fall..." variant.

-Some background business added to a "The Harder They Fall..." scene.

-Some extra emotes (some just adjusted) added to Team POOR during some Team SPAZ scenes.

--Ophalia's (ponytail) dialogue adjusted to make her sound less "princess-y" (this becomes more important with the new scenes).

--An extra bit of background business added to Team SPAZ's 1st training session (where Pearl gets her enhancer).

-Action description text boxes (3) removed from the action sequence of the "War Games" trailer...Audry, Candi, and Null's quick dialogues during the action sequence will also now auto-advance so that no player input is required buzzer to buzzer.

-Apparently, on slower systems characters/events/tiles don't stack on top of each other very smoothly when they're moving around...I doubt this is something I can do anything about.

New scene - Audry&Glynda (Early Volume 3 - 1 map)

-Plays right after 1st tournament match (all story lines, right before Qrow visits Sarah in versions where she's still at Beacon).

-Volume 2.5-3 "Treason Talk" start point is closest.

--Blue button at New Game+.

Maps Removed (many replaced by new scenes)

-4 from Emerald Forest, Team CLEN walking the same path Team SARA took (events were added to the Team SARA maps with actor sensors last update).

-6 from Emerald Forest Redux, again just stuff that was physically identical when Team CLEN did it over (events were added to the Team SARA maps with actor sensors last update).

-5 from the sparring room (Special Session 2,3,4,5,6), because everything was moved to a looping event on 1 in the last update(renamed "Sarah's Combat Schooling").

--Special Session 7 (renamed Rona vs Pyrrha) remains.

-3 from the sparring room S3 (Special Session S3 2,3,4), because everything was moved to a looping event on 1 in the last update (renamed "Roxanne's Combat Schooling").

-7 from the "Base of Tower" event during BoB (not possible to save on, so no need to delay)

--"The Harder They Fall..." and "Blood, Tears, and Explosions" already used the original map.

--"Honor Among Thieves" events added to original map (no issues expected, really only an appearance change).

--"Devil's in the (Tiny) Details" events added to original map (might get messy, 5 people instead of 4).

--"It's a Huntress's Life for Me" (all 5 variants) events added to original map (event names get messy).

--Movement during this scene also smoothed (diagonals).

Map Clean-Up (to be removed in NEXT version)

-Free Time - 2 (all 6 maps) is now merged into Free Time - 1 (now named "Free Time - Dorm Room" and so on).

--These we separate to ensure that it wouldn't cause you to loop through the events between them, but I think I know how to use conditional events well enough now to change that.

--Final event in Forever Fall now activates a "Free Time 1" switch (which does nothing as of yet, but it's there if I ever decide to make something available ONLY in the 1st session).

--Coffee event in the student lounge now exits to the "Free Time - Dorm Room" map and activates a "Free Time 2 switch (which activates the events from the old "Free time - 2" section that were copied over).

-Free Time - 3 (where you can't leave the dorm room) is also merged into the singular "Free Time" map set.

--Team WILD's 2nd training session now exits to the "Free Time - Dorm Room" map (if you're not on "Honor Among Thieves" or "The Harder They Fall..." variants) and activates a "Free Time 3" switch (which activates the events from the old "Free time - 3" map that were copied over and removes the exit to the hallway).

New set of scenes - Team SPAZ's vacation (Volume 4-5 - 20 maps)

-Takes place at the "Knights of the Round" Bath House and Pleasure Palace mentioned in their volume 2-3 changeover scene.

-Yes...20 maps...and it's only about half finished.

--Adds 1-2 hours at this point if fully enjoying the dialogue.

-The "Team Split" option at the green, debug, button at start-up is the closest starting point to where it fits in the story (right before Team SARA starts their road trip to Mistral)...but calling that "close" is a lie...

--To that end...it can be viewed from the endgame town as well (with a sensor to send you back to endgame instead of repeating the rest of the story).

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
