Lots of new stuff in today’s update. Actually, I’m finished adding in the core of all the level features, like security systems and such. Exciting! They still need some finer tuning, but they’re functioning near completion. I’ve also added in a couple new enemies finally, which should be functioning correctly as well. Finally, I’ve added in a fancy shadow-mapping… thingy stuff to make the game look a bit fancier. Let me know what you think of it all.
New Features:
Detection further adjusted. Alerts enemies will now alert other nearby enemies as they pass.
Crates and Barrel’s changed again. You can now hide inside them and throw them at enemies. Some actions restricted while inside them. Hiding only works while the player is standing still.
Barrels now explode after a second of being disturbed, unless they are hit with another explosion or are thrown into an enemy.
Metal Crate added. Same as other crates, but cannot interact with fans, cnnot be thrown, and players are bullet-proof while inside them.
Gold Safe added. Only opens when all coins have been collected. Cannot be destroyed.
Teleporter added. Teleports players and enemies between pairs. If one is destroyed, the other stops working. If alarmed, only enemies can use them. Can be hacked. When hacked, only the player can use them.
Fan added. Will life players, enemies, and certain objects into the air. Can be destroyed.
New shadow-mapping added. Levels and entities can now cast shadows for fancier appearances.
Other minor tweaks may be noticeable.
