June's Status Update
(6/6/24)
Hello again! It's been quite a few months, hasn't it? I'm quite notorious for putting things off, for doing stuff that I just stared doing in a professional setting, but today, I have some very great news for you all! But first, a disclaimer.
YES! I KNOW DELTARUNE RELEASED! ITS SO COOL. GO PLAY IT! PAY TOBY AND HIS TEAM THEIR RIGHTFULLY DESERVED MONEY! GO AND PLAY CHAPTER 3 AND 4. THEY'RE SO COOL. IF NOT FOR THEM DO IT FOR ME (broke little fox).
Okay.
The ACTUAL Status Update
So, when I saw Deltarune came out in less than a week's time, I started cramming work for FF. Might I say, it may not have been a mistake. Dare I say: It might have actually made me realize the definition of 'work'.
So much so, that we now have a generally playable state for the game! Or atleast, a type of endless mode. That said, there are some things I have to add, but we are so back.
I should probably note this here: I am far from in a good place right now! And given by where I was last year, I should be, by every definition of the word: Burned out. (yes, even burning.) But for once, I realized that if I didn't do anything, something wouldn't GET done. My motivation is strange, but... if it comes out, it comes out.
I say all of that to say, don't overwork yourselves??? But don't take underworking either. Do things at a pace that makes you happy. With something that stops you from feeling BORED doing what you like doing or what you aspire to do. Don't let your motivator be an outside variable like popularity or attention. Those come and go like flies. Let it be what makes you feel good. Doing what you like in a way that it can make something that you can show to others.
Where were we again? Oh, yeah-
New Direction (2)
Now... don't get me wrong: I would be happy to remake UT from scratch. It might actually be useful. But I am not doing that for multiple reasons. The most notable ones being...
It gets tedious.
Never truly one-to-one with the original UT.
A recreation of the original game for free.
The last one stood out to me in my head as a red herring. So, when I got a bit of money for myself, I bought Undertale on Steam and immediately got UTMT.
...Would you believe how much easier my life has become?

Would you believe me now? This isn't conceptual. This is INGAME.
Bare in mind, the way everything is right now, I am quite sure I'll have to do a LOT to get this to a state I feel good with. The main issues are that the font is too small.
...But-! Hey! All that remains for this project to have a playable demo is a bit of bug fixing!
... that said, check under the summary.
In Summary
We are so back. And we are so close. It's that simple.
...But you all likely will not have a release until AFTER Deltarune is no more (that is, after July 4th). In compensation, a lot of stuff will be readied for you all when we finally arrive, not JUST vanilla UT stuff.
See you soon.

P.S: The thumbnail is now outdated! The story has been changed. Not relevant for the Demo, so until things are finalized, I will not change it.
