Waluigi Scapelli is the younger brother of Wario Scapelli, who both grew up on the Scapelli Family Farm together. When their parents got too old, they passed the company down to the two of them, with Waluigi being the assistant to the CEO, who was Wario. Waluigi worked mainly in the cornfield, and he was especially handy with a pitchfork. One night, Wario came to him with an idea: opening a diner. Waluigi was initially against the idea, thinking that their father was a simple family man who didn't care about materialistic things. After hearing this, Wario quite literally dragged his younger brother out of bed to show him a secret.

After a few minutes, Wario took Waluigi to a secret hidden room in the old bedroom, and what Waluigi saw shocked him: it was a surprisingly fancy office, complete with a security system, three different hallways, and even décor! Andrew "Spike" Scapelli was actually a successful business man, opening a construction company to compete with some other families' plumbing business. After a few years though, the two set apart their differences and merged together. This business venture ended up raking in big bucks for the both of them. Spike only told his wife and Wario about it, and he wanted Wario to inherit it from him. Weirdly enough, it ended up being the one thing he DIDN'T inherit before his father passed. Whenever Wario asked, Spike simply... looked at him... with an almost fearful gaze in his eyes, before changing the subject quickly. Back to now, Waluigi realized that Wario's plan was EXACTLY what their father would have wanted for them, and together, they opened Wario's in 1988.

After a successful 15 years, they closed the diner down in favor of Wario's Fast Food Factory, a place where the 2 could sell Wario's famous burger frozen to be put in grocery stores all over the Mushroom Kingdom. Wario remained CEO, and Waluigi remained his assistant. This ended up being one of their biggest successes yet. Along with the farm, their sales SKYROCKETED, and afraid of falling behind, they decided that they needed new employees. But who could they hire?
