So last week I (Josh) posted that we would be on the newspaper. We had an interview talking about how we guys met and how it all started. Since the article is in swedish i´ll translate it for you.
Headline: They want to stand out in the app- jungle
Four guys from Jönköping has made a move in the game world . A month ago they launched their new game Tap Digger on the App Store . Now they hope to impact , and at the same time working on the their next big project.
Joshua George, Ivan Liljeqvist , Viktor Jonsson and Jonathan Bernhardsson got to know each other through acquaintances . They graduated from High School last spring and stepped into adulthood.
I’ve had many ideas over time and contacted Ivan, who I know is good at programming, says Joshua.
Ivan has been programming since the age of nine .
Along with Victor and Jonathan , they decided to create a game , according to themselves , a game full of madness and creativity.
Viktor stands for graphics to the game and Jonathan behind the sound and the music .
In Tap Digger the player digs through a dirt layer gathering tiles, which then can be spent in different ways.
What is it that makes Tap Digger stand out in the crowd?
It has a cutting-edge design and a coherent story. The player wants to discover what hides behind the dirty surface, said Ivan.
So far the game has been downloaded 700 times in the App Store, and has over 300 recurring visitors.
It has gone as expected and we have more ideas in store, says Joshua.
The next project will be even greater with a greater focus on direct online interaction, says Ivan.
More than that, the guys did not reveal. It remains to be seen what the next exciting project has to offer.
Here is the link to the article, they also took a picture of me and Ivan. And there also some pictures of the game.
